Lila Sawyer donated two old photo albums to the Historical Society through Chuck Liebow in 2017. These photos seem to have been collected by her cousin Harvey Melvin Sawyer and his wife, Charlotte Turner Sawyer. Charlotte's family lived in Sullivan, Maine and operated a large nursing home there for many years where the school administration building is now located on Rt. 1. Lila's grandfather and Harvey's grandfather were brothers.
There are many old unidentified photos, as well as duplicates, photos of unknown people or places, and uncatalogued photos included in the collection.
