Description: Square tin container for "Vandyk's Persian filled sugared dates", sold by Van Dyk & Reeves, Brooklyn. Painted black with white, and red label and gold lettering. Has small vent holes on bottom of tin.

Description: Tin spice storage box, containing 6 round canisters with spices in them. Hinged metal box with carrying handle on top. Hinges cut into lid part of box lip removed. Lock closure on front (no lock), soldered to front of box. Painted black with gold decoration on front and two sides. Top where handle is is raised (stamped out/up portion approximately 5.25" x 8." Handle riveted to top. Six small containers with lids, painted black with and labeled on tops cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, allspice and mace.- worn and barely readable on the last can.
